1) How have you thought about the earthquake issue for this one year? What is your understanding about it?

What happened and the situation now we are facing is so huge that I cannot explain my thought well in words. Since the earthquake and tsunami last year, I have been always having an indescribable feeling somewhere inside of me and honestly I don’t know how to name/deal with it. I have been deeply shocked by my ignorance and to realize that I had taken so many important things for granted and never ever really questioned about them.

2) How do you wish this event to be?

I hope this event would become an “occasion” where we really think together about the issues we are facing. After the disaster, I am sure many people around the world are now thinking about many issues. No one knows the definite answer and perhaps the answer in itself never existed from the beginning. But I think it is very important to first know the issues, think about them and take a step toward, even if it is very tiny. I believe this would change at least something. And by thinking together, we might discover new possibilities. We should share our individual thoughts in whatever way, then each think again individually, and then share again…I wish this kind of circle would grow and lead for our better future, and hope this event would be one of the first steps for that.
